Avoir le bac ou être en cours d’obtention du bac

Avoir un score minimum au TOEFL Ibt (Test Of English as a Foreign Language) de 61 sur 120.
Ce test évalue le niveau d’anglais et détermine la capacité à suivre des cours en anglais.

Avoir un score minimum au SAT (Scholastic Assessment Test) de 860 sur 1600.

Le but de ce test est d’évaluer le niveau de connaissance en anglais et en mathématiques des candidats qu’ils soient européens ou américains.
LA SCOLARITE aux USA
2 rentrées possibles: août ou janvier
Pour valider une année, il faut valider 2 semestres peu importe le choix de la rentrée.
VIE SUR LE CAMPUS
Le logement : La première année doit être passée sur le campus, après tu as la liberté de te loger à l’extérieur du campus pour les années suivantes. Tu partages généralement ta chambre avec un autre membre de l’équipe. Tu disposes d’une télévision dans le salon commun. Dans le hall se trouve une cuisine équipée. Chaque résidence universitaire est munie de machines à laver et de sèche-linge.
Le repas :Le restaurant universitaire est un self où la nourriture et les sodas ne sont pas limités. L’heure du repas du soir est pour le moins surprenant puisqu’il débute vers les 17h.
DEROULEMENT DES COURS
La chose la plus surprenante pour un étudiant européen est la souplesse des professeurs à l’égard des élèves. Il ne faut donc pas s’étonner de voir des élèves se lever en plein milieu du cours pour se rendre aux toilettes, apporter des boissons et de la nourriture en classe, venir en chaussons ou bien porter une casquette, sans que cela paraisse gêner quiconque.
Les cours se déroulent sous la forme de lecture et offrent une large place à l’intervention des élèves. Ces derniers n’éprouvent aucune crainte à donner leur avis sur n’importe quel sujet. Autre fait remarquable concernant les cours est le nombre imposant de lectures demandées chaque semaine.
Aussi il est important d’organiser son emploi du temps avec méthode et de ne pas prendre deux cours trop importants dans la même journée.

There are many sports in this world, but only one that is worth your time : SWIMMING !
Why is this ? This is because swimming provide the most amount of benefits for you, your body, and your life.
These benefits do not come for free, but with lots of time and lots of effort. Many Americans today look for the quick fix in their lives, but most go without success.
This is because there is no quick fix answer, but you can drastically improve your life by swimming.
All you need is a pool where you can swim laps, or if you are fortunate enough to have a swim team near by, that you are eligible to join, " Just Do It " !
Swimming is one of the most physically and mentally challenging sports there is, but the long term health benefits are TREMEDOUS !!
The important thing though, is that you challenge yourself. Even if your a beginner the only way to improve is to push your limits (to a healthy standard).
10 REASONS TO SWIM :
You've no doubt heard that swimming is good exercise, but do you know just how good it is for you ?
Take a look at some of the reasons why swimming is considered the BEST SPORT for your HEALTH :
1/ The buoyancy of the water counteracts the force of gravity, making swimming THE BEST LOW-IMPACT SPORT (puts little stress on bones and joints).
2/ If you swim for at least 20' straight, keeping up a constant rhythm and speed, it is an aerobic exercise, which helps improve general fitness, stimulates the metabolism and BURNS FAT.
3/ The fact that it's an aerobic exercise also means it improves cardiopulmonary capacity, while the effort needed to overcome water resistance TONES MUSCLES.
4/ It's a great way to burn calories : 1 hour of swimming BURNS 500 CALORIES.
5/ Our body's natural position is upright, but when we swim, we turn it horizontal; this helps move respiratory secretions, and IMPROVES BREATHING.
6/ Swimming has been shown to be BENEFICIAL for ASTHMA SUFFERERS, as it encourages lung function and breathing control.
7/ Swimming BALANCES blood pressure and NORMALISES pulse rate.
8/ It works the body's motor coordination. Over 2/3 of the body musculature is worked when we swim, including both the LOWER and UPPER BODY, trunk and head, and arms and legs are forced to make a balanced effort.
9/ Swimming also strengthens joints and improves posture by improving the position of the spinal column. This makes it an EXCELLENT exercise for people with BACK problems.
10/ Last, but not least ANYONE CAN DO IT from toddlers to centenaries.
You don't have to be a great athlete for swimming to be beneficial – and fun, too – so come on in !
